I go to Dudefest expecting two things: dudes and a fest. But as with so many fests there are surprises to be found. One was the metal band Landmine Marathon from Arizona. What Landmine Marathon has in common with most metal bands is having 4 huge dudes with long hair and beards thrashing and raging on stage. What makes them unique is Grace Perry, who is not a dude but sure can growl like one. How she keeps her voice after a set is a mystery because she relentlessly attacked the microphone with the spirit of Hades erupting from her throat. And yet by the end of her set, covered in all the spit, blood, and puke by the end of the show, somehow she still seems to glow. Perhaps it’s radioactivity.

This band is loud, angry, and awesome. If you enjoy life, you will enjoy this video.
